September 23, 2010 -- The September 11 terrorist attacks awakened a remarkable amount of anti-immigration furor in America, which has persisted for many years since. And now, Arizona’s Support Our Law Enforcement and Safe Neighborhoods Act (known as Senate Bill 1070) has re-sparked the immigration debate. In this essay, I will briefly frame the immigration issue as a whole, and argue why we should oppose the new Arizona law.
