Graduate Seminar 2011: July 31-August 5

The 8th annual Graduate Seminar in Objectivist Philosophy and Method will be held July 31-August 5, 2011 at the George Washington University in Washington, DC.  It will be an intense, intimate week of high level training in Objectivist philosophy and thinking skills.

The 2011 Graduate Seminar will focus on Objectivist approaches to the "problem of induction," with discussion centered on David Harriman's 2010 book, The Logical Leap. Students will be asked to prepare a presentation on a related philosophical topic.

About our graduate seminars

The Graduate Seminar is a special week of lectures, discussions, and workshops designed for graduate students, junior faculty, and post-doctoral scholars of philosophy and related fields. David Kelley, Ph.D., founder of The Atlas Society, is the lead instructor for this intimate and intensive week of intellectual development. Instruction varies from year-to-year, but generally focuses on the content of Objectivism, the relation of Objectivism to non-Objectivist scholarly literature, the distinctive Objectivist method of philosophical analysis, and writing and speaking skills.

Join us for an intimate and intensive week of intellectual development.

If you have any questions about the seminar please contact Will Thomas, director of programs for the Atlas Society. You can reach him via email at wthomas@atlassociety.org.
