Objectivist Center Updates Moves to Yahoo! Groups

For several years now, The Objectivist Center has offered the Email Update Service for anyone wanting to receive information about the center's Web site and activities.

Each month subscribed TOC members and non-members receive monthly email updates detailing new content on the Web site and the latest news from the center. The monthly subscription base fluctuates between 1,300 and 1,500 individuals, with approximately half of the subscribers non-members.

As of October, the center has switched to Yahoo! Groups as the provider for the Email Update Service. This switch to Yahoo! was done to make the process of subscribing or unsubscribing easier and to make the maintenance of the list less of a burden on center resources. In addition to making the subscription process easier, Yahoo! Groups allows subscribers to read archived messages and to modify their own subscriptions.

Most importantly, because the service is now hosted by Yahoo! Groups, The Objectivist Center will be able to promote its Web site and activities to a wider audience and attract a broader subscription base.

For more information on subscribing to this Email Update Service, visit http://groups.yahoo.com/group/objectivistcenter_updates.
