Franklin Camargo

Franklin Camargo joins The Atlas Society as a Student Programs Coordinator. Franklin is a Venezuelan refugee in the United States of America since 2019. From 2016 to 2019, he was a medical student at the Universidad Nacional Experimental Rómulo Gallegos until he got expelled for political reasons in 2019. Previously, Franklin served as youth organization coordinator for Vente Venezuela in Aragua State and volunteered for Estudiantes por la Libertad. In 2018 he traveled to several states of Venezuela, presenting two speeches, "Let's talk about Ayn Rand" and "Defending Capitalism." In October 2019, Franklin gave a speech at the Organization of American States denouncing human rights violations in Venezuela. Since 2020 he has been a panelist of Univision TV, where he is constantly present through debates and interviews. Additionally, he is a co-author of the book "Después del socialismo, Libertad" (After Socialism, Freedom), published in March 2021.
