Join the Atlas Intellectuals on Wednesday, August 18th @ 5 PM PT / 8 PM ET for a discussion with Senior Scholar Dr. Richard Salsman on the topic of "Money, for Good or Ill."

"The U.S. dollar has been off the gold standard for half a century (as of August 15th), the longest such period in U.S. history. In this session we discuss the importance of money and the crucial difference (in kind and effect) between objective money and subjective money, the first of which, qua realism, is supplied and preserved by free markets and the rule of law, the latter of which, qua nominalism, is imposed by fiat and perpetuated by fiscally profligate states. Can we shift from subjective to objective money? How? Is gold obsolete? Are crypto currencies better?" -- Richard Salsman
