It's make or break time for the private space industry to show that it isn't essentially the new crony capitalism.  In this "State of the Culture Update" Ed and Will discuss whether or not we've truly entered the age of private space industry. Space technology is undeniably inspiring -it represents new frontiers and great human achievement.

Real human achievement in non-governmental fields can only come through private action for the sake of objective values. But while we've seen impressive advances in private ventures, such as Robert Bigelow's Bigelow Aerospace and Elon Musk's SpaceX, NASA is the source of most of the work done so far by so-called private space companies. Find out what that might not be such a bad thing.
