Question: State Capitalism, a validterm or an oxymoron?
Answer: State Capitalism is an invalid concept. It's trying to pick out a political and economic system in which the state owns the economy and directs its activities, although it may allow some zones of private ownership within its overall control.
The proper label for such systems is: Fascism, or National Socialism. The term was coined by other people on the left; more communist versions of socialism who wanted to distance themselves from other versions of government-controlled economies, namely fascists and National Socialism, but it's an intentional mislabeling for rhetorical, politically activist purposes.
